Privacy notice
Updated 10 October 2026
1. Who handles your information
This notice explains how we use customer information for Home James Spain / Home James Home, a service offered under the trading name Costa Del Sol Complete. Registered business address: Avenida Manuel Agustín Heredia, nº 14, Bajo, 29001 - Málaga, Spain. Contact hello@homejamesspain.com for privacy enquiries or rights requests.
2. Information used by this service
- Address quotes: the street address, house number, town and postcode you enter, the matched address, road distance and estimated driving time.
- Bookings: your name, email address, phone number, home address, vehicle details, outbound and return flight numbers, handover times, booking reference, price and booking/payment status.
- Payments: Stripe handles payment details. Our booking system receives payment references, status, amount and currency; it does not store your full card number or card security code.
- Communications: the information you send when asking a question, changing a journey, cancelling or raising a concern, and records needed to send booking emails.
- Work and partnership enquiries: the contact details, location, availability, professional experience or business information you choose to email through our Work With Us page. The page opens your own email app; it does not submit or store an application form on the website.
- Technical information: providers may process IP addresses, browser information, security events and request logs to deliver and protect the website. Our calculator keeps a daily total of lookup requests.
Most information comes from you. Google Maps supplies the matched location and route estimate, and Stripe supplies payment updates. If someone books for you, they supply the booking details; they should share this notice with you. Please provide only information needed for the service, and do not include alarm codes, passwords or unnecessary sensitive information.
3. Why we use it
We use quote and booking details to respond to your request and perform your booking agreement, including arranging drivers, collecting payment, communicating changes and processing refunds. Without the required contact, address and journey information, we cannot complete an online booking.
We use driver enquiries to discuss possible work and take steps you request towards a potential working arrangement. We use business-partner enquiries to respond and explore a possible relationship, relying on our legitimate interest in handling relevant professional enquiries. Enquiries are handled through our business email; they are not sent to Stripe or Google Maps as part of this process.
Accounting and other legally required records are handled to meet our legal obligations. Security, misuse prevention and dealing with claims rely on our legitimate interests in running a safe service and resolving disputes, balanced against your rights. Your booking is not an automatic subscription to marketing. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful processing.
The calculator automatically estimates price from road distance, applicable caps and notice period, and the calendar checks availability. These are booking tools, not personal credit or eligibility profiling. You can contact us for assistance or a manual quote.
4. Who receives information
Drivers and authorised staff receive the details needed to arrange and perform your journeys. Providers used by the current website include:
- Google Maps: the address entered for location matching and route calculation.
- Stripe: checkout, payment processing, receipts and refunds, including the email, price and payment/booking references needed for those functions.
- OpenAI Sites and its Cloudflare infrastructure: hosting, the booking database, website delivery and security. Private administrator sign-in uses ChatGPT authentication.
- Supabase and IONOS: processing and delivering booking-confirmation emails and handling business email. Confirmation messages contain your journey and booking details.
Information may also be disclosed to professional advisers, public authorities or other parties where necessary to comply with law or establish, exercise or defend legal claims. We do not offer customer booking data for sale.
Some providers operate internationally and may process information outside the European Economic Area. The protections and locations depend on the provider and service configuration. You can ask us for details of the safeguards applicable to your information; provider privacy information is available from Google, Stripe, OpenAI, Cloudflare, Supabase and IONOS.
5. Google Translate and cookies
Selecting Español, Français or Nederlands opens the public page through Google Translate. Google then processes the page request under its own policies. Our translation links omit booking-reference query parameters, and are not offered on the private availability-management page. If you enter information while using a translated copy of the website, Google may also process that interaction; use the original website if you do not want to use that service.
The current booking website does not include an advertising pixel or an audience-analytics integration. Hosting, security, administrator sign-in and external services may use necessary cookies or similar technology. Stripe, Google Translate and other external pages operate their own cookie controls and notices. You can manage cookies in your browser, although blocking essential cookies may stop sign-in or payment features working.
6. Keeping information
A quote-only address is processed to produce the result and returned to your browser in a short-lived signed quote; it is not saved as an address record in our booking database until you proceed to checkout. Hosting and Google may separately hold technical records under their own arrangements.
Booking records, including incomplete checkout records, are retained while needed to administer the journey, reconcile payments, handle cancellations or resolve an issue. Relevant records may need to be kept longer for accounting obligations or potential legal claims. The applicable obligation, the record's purpose and any open dispute determine that period; expiry of a quote or checkout does not automatically erase a booking record. Email correspondence and provider-held logs may have separate retention periods. Contact us to ask about a particular record or request erasure; some information may have to be retained by law.
Work and partnership correspondence
We keep an enquiry while an opportunity or discussion remains active and for any period needed to resolve related questions or legal claims. If you want us to stop considering your enquiry or remove information we no longer need, contact us. We will ask before retaining your details for a separate future-opportunities list.
7. Your choices and rights
You can ask to access or correct your personal data and, where applicable, request erasure, restriction, portability or object to processing. Email hello@homejamesspain.com with enough information to identify your booking. We may request proportionate identity verification to protect your data. Normally we respond within one month; if a lawful extension is necessary, we will explain it.
You may complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD) or another competent supervisory authority. You do not need to contact us before doing so.
8. Updates and contact
We update this notice when the service or its handling of information changes. The date above identifies this version. For questions about a booking, use hello@homejamesspain.com; our customer terms and cancellation policy explain the service and cancellation arrangements.
